PING Europe

PING, the leading golf equipment manufacturer, has taken the next step towards sustainability by installing 655 solar panels on the roof of its headquarters in Gainsborough.

Cactus worked closely with PING to asses its energy needs and develop a solar panel system that would meet both the company’s environmental requirements and reduce its operating costs. Cactus proposed the idea of incorporating the “PING” logo into the solar panel array that would be aesthetically pleasing, and a visible reminder of PING’s commitment to sustainability and innovation.

  • Design and installation of a solar photovoltaic (PV) system featuring 655 PV Panels.
  • Conducted a structural survey of the site to ensure the system’s suitability.
  • Facilitated applications to both the local council for planning and DNO for grid connection.
  • Conducted a thorough risk assessment.
  • Organised scaffold works to facilitate the installation process.
  • Installed all necessary equipment, including solar PV panels, cabling, and inverters.

Annual CO2 Savings

117 Tonnes

The installation of the Solar PV system at the facility will offset a total of 117 tonnes of carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions annually. To put this into perspective, this reduction in emissions is equivalent to 40.5 tonnes of waste recycled instead of landfilled or the charging of 14,232,190 smartphones.

"We are absolutely delighted with our recent solar panel installation. Choosing to partner with such a professional, knowledgeable, and forward-thinking company as Cactus Energy, has made our journey into renewable energy seamless and hassle free. The on-site monitoring tool allows us to track our generation, providing valuable visibility to our system performance in real time. Thank you to everyone that worked on the project and made it such a success"
